The question is, what research questions exist that still need to be answered. While thi slike is not exhaustive, a few suggestions for research topic are listed here.

Modeling

• What is the effect of the representation of "choice" in a diagram on the readibiliy of the diagram. Explicit representation of choice means that in an activity, there are a number of "choices" presented to the user which they can choose to categorize their response. Alternatively the choice can be stored in a variable, and a XOR gateway used to branch the process.

• Organizational model: what means exist to represent an organization in such a way that minimal changes are needed for the day to day changes that an organization encounters. Can different representations be compared against a particular scenario of organizaatoinal churn to measure the amount of maintenance neededd in the organizationa model.

Prototype Implementations

• The "Process Leaves" wiki needs an implementation of BPAF to communicate history items in a standard form.

• We need a piece of software to translate BPAF event into and from ProM MXML event format.

• We need an opensource Workcast reader. Probably an extension of an existing open source RSS reader.
