XPDL2.2/BPMN2.0 Projects

Notes (Note)

XPDL2.2 Specification

We are in the process of completing the XPDL2.2 specification based on version 40 of the schema. We would like to complete this in time for a planned XPDL meeting in California this December.

One or two volunteers are needed to revise the section on DataObject and related elements. Please get in touch with Robert Shapiro if you have time available for this important work.

Status of the XPDL2.2 Revision

There now exist preliminary versions of the specification and schema. These documents will be available for review and further editing. Threaded discussions about issues related to them should take place on the BPMN Users Group on Google.

This release contains all the new visual elements added to the Process Modeling component of BPMN in BPMN2.0.

The schedule for this release is as follows:

  • February 1: Documents available for review by WfMC members
  • March 1: Documents available for review by public.

Preliminary Version of XPDL 2.2 Specification

There is now available a first version of the XPDL 2.2 specification, based on the bpmnxpdl_39.xsd. The change-log in the specification indicates all changes made to the document. Change-log items in red indicate problem areas that require further work. Search on ??? to locate problems indicated in the change-log or located in the text of the document. If you want to work on a problem area please let Robert Shapiro know. Any comments will be appreciated.
